does my axis change between glasses and contacts?

does my axis change between glasses and contacts?

I have contacts right now, and my old glasses that where not my current prescription just broke, and I am ordering new ones online. I only have astigmatism in one eye, and I am filling out my information for the glasses, and it of course asks about the od axis. I know in my contacts my prescription has it at 180, and I am wondering if that number would be different in glasses. in case it helps, my current contact prescription : left:-8.50. Right: -6.50 cyl -1.75. axis 180
any help would be appreciated,
Thanks,
devin

Contact lens and glasses prescriptions are different.  However,  if you have toric contact lenses the axis of the astigmatism should be the same.  You current contact lens prescription does not have any astigmatism.
