drug left deposit in eye?

Dear Dr.
Maybe you can elaborate as my retina doctor could not.
16 months ago I had my eyes examined and they were fine.
Then had a neurotoxic drug reaction 15 months ago from a new Quinolone antibiotic. Eye had been twitching and having spasms but also my entire body had fasiculations.  In my right eye above the visual axis was a deposit and pigment change of "UNKNOWN Etiolgy" that had not been there prior to the drug reaction.  I have heard that these particular drugs can leave deposits in the eyes and cause other visual neuro or visual abnormalities and blind spots.
Do you have any information on Quinolones leaving deposits in the eye and what they can cause?  Also was given 4 rounds of Medrol to counteract the reaction but Retina Specialist said Steroids would not have caused this...Thank you

i am  aware of quinolones potentially causing optic nerve problems, but not aware of them leaving deposits in the retina.  it is of course possible that these are not deposits, but rather simply a retinal reaction to toxicity. If you are interested we would love to see you here at Henry Ford Eye Care Services.  Simply call 1-800-363-7575 for an appointment.
