dry eye / blepharitis

If someone gets blepharitis say by sharing a towel with another patient with the condition, or gets dry eye through constant computer usage, is it permanent?

if so, why cant he reverse it by stopping computer usage or getting rid of the infection which led him to catch blepharitis?

Dear jim509,

Blepharitis is an infection around the eyelids.  It is best treated by performing eyelid hygiene daily and using an antibiotic ointment for a short period of time.  Blepharitis can exacerbate one’s symptoms of dry eye.
