episcleritis

I had very red very red eyes that are painful and went to the doctor.  This is the 3rd time in two years this has happened and I have rosacea.   The eye doc gave me prednisolone 1% to be used four times daily for a week 2 times daily the week after that.  Two days later my eyes have totally cleared up...but when I put in the drops my vision is very fogged over for I would say less than a minute.  I am also having to blink a lot more.  I am worried about the side effects I read on the box -- I see that they are rare but it says not to use more than 10 days and I am supposed to use it for two weeks. Can I stop the eye drops--what will happen?  Could the eye drops cause any damage?  I don't really like putting things in my eye.  What signs should I look for if things are going bad?

All your doctor and discuss your concerns. (Your "doctor" should be a MD ophthalmologist).  Many conditions including episcleritis require that the cortisone drops be used for much longer than 10 days.
