exercise- vision-Glaucoma?

exercise- vision-Glaucoma?

For years now I have been telling eye docs that every time I do something  physically taxing my vision gets blurry -sometimes for hours ( 6-10 hours after ).  Pretty much everyone said there is no correlation. The only execption was the Occular Rosacea specialist whom said it was very possible that my Rosacea was flaring up. The last several times my wife looked and took pics of my eyes and that was not the case  ( when Rosacea flares up my eyes get very red and they weren't )   Now twice in the past 2 months I have done strenous activities and both times the same thing--blurry vision for hours after  and no red eye .   I have recenbtly moved and found a very good eye doc and he told me that my pressures were good with my current drops 21-22  and suggested that possibly high blood pressure
or a sugar spike may be the culprit when I over exert myself and suggested checking both next time this happens. He said if both are ok I could call and they would check my pressures ( Glaucoma ) right away to see if they spiked.  He didn't say that it was related  just gave me some thing to check- I am very impressed with this doc-
He did say that there has been much new research into various eye issues and sometimes there are  differing views on cause and effect .

Anyone hear or read anything on Physical activity effecting vision ??

PS   I quit lifting weights 3 years ago because every time I lifted I couldn't even watch Tv because of blurred vision .
probibly coincidence but the day after litfing and moving 290  of  25 lb  blocks I had a retinal detachment and tear

I would suggest you see a cardiologist, tell him your symptoms and that your eyes have been checked and are normal. It could be your heart. Alternative plan see a neuroophthalmologist. I think this needs further investigationl

What kind of exercise are you doing? This is important as some can cause horrendous rises in IOP and are not advised for glaucoma patients. My guess would be that your gluacoma makes you more susceptible to extremes in rises (or falls for that matter) in IOP during activities that other people tolerate with no problems. Perhaps it is also a possibility that the medication is part of the problem here????

Have you checked your glucose before, during and after exercise also? This would be easy to rule out yourself as you can buy the meters and strips OTC.
