exercise induced conjunctivitis

Everytime i go to the gym my eyes always flair up and my eyelids become swollen!! I suffer from allergic conjunctivitis and it gets worse everytime i exercise. Sport is a big part of my life and because my eyes flare up during exercise it compleately stops me from particapating in any sports whatsoever. Can u suggest anything to help me please? Dafydd

1. If you wear contacts its likely the contacts. Wear glasses.
2. Exercise outdoors, swim or try a different gym.
3. See an Eye MD to discuss this. I think you can be helped. You may have blepharitis. IF its allergy there are eyedrops that should help. Find an Eye  MD at www.aao.org

Try Zaditor. Over the counter. But see Eye MD if continues.

I've just been subscribed lotemax eye drops. Just wondered how often should i take them? best wishes Dafydd

Lotemax is a steroid. You should get the instructions from the MD that prescribed them.
