extreme pain in the eyes

Hi there,

I have been experiencing extreme pain my eyes for the last 3 weeks. I went to my eye hospital and they found that I had a hameoredge in my left eye. They also found some abnormal vessels growing in both my eyes at the corner of them. At the moment i'm really worried as the vision in my left is pretty blurry and I have a lot of floaters, I see a spider or worm type like structure when i look out of my left eye. My eyes feel like they have something in them all the time. I was wondering could this be an eye parasite or parasite infection affecting my eyes. Would the eye doctor picked this up when looking at my eyes. Also i have had blood tests but they have come back normal. I am still however awaiting results from a TB test.

I would really appreciate any help? Should I get further tests and if so what kind of tests should I get. If it is a parasite i've heard it can blind you. If you could get back to me as soon as possible I would really be grateful as i'm rreally scared and up until now the doctors haven't been all that helpful which is why i cam on this.

I doubt you have a parasite unless you have traveled to areas in the world with parasites.

Most likely you have some sort of inflammatory disease.  They should have started treatment while waiting for test results.

Hi thanks for your response. I travelled to India last year I don't know if they have parasites there. They haven't started any treatement yet and my eyes are so painful!
