eye bubble feeling

i am just getting over a flu and this morning when i woke up it felt like there was an air bubble to the inner side of my left eye, and i had some blurry vision, but it mostly went away, then it came back in the middle of the day and for the rest of the day so far. and now ive  noticed a little bit of yellowish stuff coming out of the inner corner of the eye, but its not constant, just a little at certain times.there is also a little tiny bit of pain in the inner corner. is this serious or should this subside?

You can get conjunctivitis (infection of the surface skin of the eye) when you have the flu.  Intermittent blurred vision and mild yellow or green or white discharge are common symptoms.  The white of the eye may turn red as well.  The eye may become watery.  If the symptoms are fairly mild, no specific treatment is needed.  If the discharge increases significantly (say, if you woke up with your eyelids crusted shut with drainage), then you should see an Eye-MD who might prescribe eyedrop treatment.  However, be aware that VIRAL conjunctivitis is not helped by eye drop treatment.
