Hopefully you want to be a good doctor instead of a god doctor.

If you wanted to be a surgeon or certain do certain medical procedures and your vision (which you don't mention how bad it is) is reduced to the point that it interfers with your depth perception it could make these tasks difficult.  For instance some eye surgery departments will not accept a doctor unless they have good to perfect depth perception.

Generally removing congenital cataracts in an adult does not improve the vision much as the eye has some degree of amblyopia or reduced vision potential.

Your best bet is see an ophthalmologist for an exam and discuss your professional aspirations with him/her.
