eye cyst

Good Morning:
I had my eye checkup yesterday, my left eye has been bothering me a bit, very dry, something sticky moving around, redness.  The optomotrist told me I have an eye cyst and to use warm compresses 3-4 times per day.  My only concern is that both my mom and grandmother had eye pressure problems, could this lead to this?  Should I see an opthamologist to look into this problem further re: the eye cyst?

The cyst is on the eyeball, will it make a difference?

If the cyst is on the outside of the eye like on the sclera (white part) it will not cause glaucoma

My opthamologist discovered yesterday that I have a cyst and freckle on the sclera both of which are common but she was concerned becaused I have both in the same eye.  Can it be cause for concern?  She wants to see me again in 3 months.

No way we can tell from your description. Keep your appointment and ask for further clarification from your ophthalmologist.
