There are surgical and laser treatments for glaucoma as well as eyedrops.  Usually, eyedrops are the first form a treatment. Is there a reason that drops cannot be used?

Eyedrops have a nasty affect with my wife, her vision went with the use of "Xalaton' and
P.V.Carpine. taken off Carpine put on 'Azopt' her right eye seemed to become protruding, so has stopped taken eyedrops altogether.
