eye floaters and lights

Helle I recently experienced floaters in my eyes and squiggly lines,  i was referred to a eye specialist who put horrible drops in my eyes my vison was blurrred?
He checked both eyes and said no eye disease, and  I need reading glasses.
Now why is it I had lights in my right eye like a rippling effect, I splashed water in my eye I panicked I thought I was going blind, what causes this? I am 48.

When people describe squiggly lines that ripple, that can be seen with the eyes shut and that lasts 4 minutes to up to an hour or so, with or without a headache we think of two general things:  eye migraines (use search feature to read about),  and TIA or transient ischemic attack due to disease of eye, heart, brain blood vessels.

If you saw a fully trained MD eye physician ophthalmologist then I suggest you call back and discuss your concerns and questions with the staff.  If you saw an optometrist then you need to see an Ophthalmologist.
