eye injury

My 25 year old son got hit in the left eye between the eyebrow and the lid by a hockey stick. he required only butterfly stitch. This happened 4 days ago. He is complaining of numbness in his forehead and side of his eye. Should we be concerned and get an xray taken or will it go away in time?

If eye checks out, he might have injured his neck. Reason I mention because of numbness. usually coincide with piched nerves, or nerve swelling compression. Had that, was a bad last 14 years. I used chiropractor to treat, take pressure off nerves. swelling has to go down also. Good luck, just didn't want you to forget about the neck. Alot of my mess started when i got hit in the head, then at the very next instant, thinking about my head, my shoulde, back went out. Neck will gravitate to face areas, including behind eye balls, and into teeth, ears, jaw, etc. Good luck Cheap fix, if eye ok, anti inflammatory. I would still want to check neck alignment, if it was me, or my child, Chiropractors are usually reasonable fees.

An X ray is not as important as the exam by an MD to be sure there is not eye injury. A X ray will not tell you that.
