eye pressure question

last week i was diagnosed with Thygeson spk ..my ophthalmologist  had me putting steriods in my eye every hour...so its been 4 days  and i went back he said my eye pressure went from 17 to 21  my question is  did it go up  bc of the steroid drops ? now he has me putting them in every 3-4 hours  foe a week  and hopefully my eye will be better ...  will my eye pressure go back down  once im taken off the  drops ?

The IOP varies from hour to hour just like your BP and your blood sugar. The average person has a 6-8 point variationin 24 hrs. So the 21 may not be anything more than routine daily variation. You should have IOP checked 7-10 days.
