eye quiver

Hi there, I recently started having short quivers in my left eye. I had a cataract and lens replaced about 2 years ago and about 6-9 months ago had these black floating spots. The eye dr. did a thorough check and said it was ok. Can you explain? Thanks, Tim  Age 57 and in good health. I walk a lot,  am outside quite a bit, use sun glasses and a hat.

A full dilated eye exam by an eye MD/ophthalmologist is in order to make sure everything is OK and the implant is stable and in position.

Follow up with your eye dr. or get a second opinion. You may have a posterior vitreous detachment, retinal tear or detachment or just floaters which can worsen or happen after cataract surgery. The muscle twitches are called myokimia and will go away for the most part like they came-just fo. Usually fatigue, caffeine and eyestrain ccause them.
