i was outside in the dark, looked at my glass and the next minute I couldn;t see it. My hand disappeared when i put it in front of my glass also. If moved my head up and looked down, I could see them again. Looking straight ahead, they disappeared. It lasted almost 10 minutes. Is this a sign of some disease to come?
Your "blind spot" is called a "scotoma" There are a number of causes. If you are young and otherwise healthy statistically its most likely an eye migraine or ophthalmic migraine (same thing) which often don't have headache.
HOWEVER: you do need to have it checked out. See an ophthalmologist Eye MD and see your personal physician for a check-up as this can (expecially if your older, in poor health or smoke) be a sign of serious disease of the heart, brain, blood vessels or eye.
If you live in USA find an eye MD at www.aao.org or ask your personal MD for a referral. IF YOU SMOKE STOP IMMEDIATELY.
