favourable color to the eyes

Q1. I need to know which color should be preferred for my computer background screen such that, there should be no strain to my eyes even I worked for longertime.

           Many of the people says,better prefer lower wavelength colors like(light blue,green,white) but I feel Yellow is the favourable color for the eyes,why b'cause I came to know yellow is a average color of (wavelength 5890-5896 oA).   Please support your answer.

Q2. What should be the optimum distance from the computer screen that an end user should sit?

Almost all the world gets by nicely on black characters on a white screen. If you find a different color works well for you then by all means use them.

The closer you sit to a computer the more focus work and convergence work is necessary. So sit as far from the computer as you can see clearly and reach the keys and keep good back posture.

Ideally sitting with the back and spine straight and the head and neck well supported. This should help not only eye problems but orthopedic problems of the neck and spine.

You didn't get what I say:

          In general,white always reflects than any other color and it is also combination of Seven different colors.My question is what should be the ratio of color(RGB) for the proper visibility and less strain for the eyes.My suspection is yellow(Monochromatic) ,white(multicolor) which favours much to the eyes for long life.
