flash and cloudyness

by tbonnell, Aug 26, 2009 07:46AM
Hello i have 2 worries. First, my left eye sees a flash in my peripheral vision when i look to the right but not when i look forward..i notice it in only certain lighting. Its like a dot. My right eye doesnt see the flash but my peripheral gets a little cloudy when i look left and its only noticeable in somewhat lit rooms. but in the sunlight or in the dark it isnt noticeable. no blurry vision or vision loss just what ive told you. It only really seems to appear when i turn my eyes.Any input would be helpful thx.

You need to see an ophthalmologist, or better yet, a retinal specialist and get your retinal checked.

well i went and had a checkup and well we did a thorough exam of my retina and she said it looked really good...and that this was due to my *muscles* around my eye. I guess it does make sense since it only happens when i turn my eyes or tilt my head around.Plus ive had normal prescription glasses for only like 5-6 months and im on a computer almost all the time due to work and personal reason. Does that seem like a legit reason for my problems? Do you think i should get a second opinion or could it also be from eyes stress?

in my first post i might have been a little off on the description...it isnt really a cloudyness im seeing its more of like shaded little areas and it seems to be right around the outer area of my view of the glasses.
