flashes following cryopexy

I had cryopexy to fix a small retinal detachment, and this included the bubble in the eye which lasted about eight days.  As the bubble disappeared the flashes reappeared (in the same location).  They are a split second and just in the corner of my eye. My opthamologist tells me the detachment is healing fine and there are no signs of another tear.  But I still worry.  i've read the posts on this site about this issue, but don't see any specific mention of numbers (I'm having ten or so a day)  How long will these flashes continue, can I expect them to diminish in number over time, and is there a serious risk this could lead to another tear?

I think Prompt treatment of a torn retina can prevent the retina from detaching. Once the retina becomes detached, it must be surgically repaired to prevent vision loss. If the retina has a tear or hole, but has not become completely detached, your ophthalmologist may recommend a special type of laser treatment or freezing. If the retina is detached, surgical repair is necessary.

if there are regular flashes still occurring 8 months after cyropexy, could that indicate that there is another retinal tear? Or is there anything in particular that is triggering the flashes?

Thanks for the quick reply.  My Dr is aware of the post operative flashes and has advised me to contact him if some of the other dangerous symptoms occur (curtain, floaters). He is following this, but I don't have another appointment for a week.  I was wondering how long these flashes might continue and if the number (now about ten a day) might diminish as time goes on.  Thanks

Traction is not relieved by a bubble and cyro.  It is causing the the flashes.   This should be followed and if any additional symptoms occur, call your surgeon.
