Hi.
I’m a 51-year-old male and about 6 months ago I woke one morning and saw to cobweb type floaters in my right eye. Then to days later I discovered I had to in my left eye. Then I decided I better see my eye doctor.well after checking my eyes he said everything looked fine.ecept I had a little vitreous detachment which he said, wasn’t uncommon fore my age. Then about one month later I started seeing flashes so I went to an ophthalmologist who said everything looked fine. Well my question is I am still seeing flashes after five months is this normal?

I would not quite classify this as normal but not uncommon.  You should have your retina checked regularly for several months just to make sure there is no problem.  The fact that you are still having flashes likely means there is still some traction on the retina and this does predispose you to a retinal detachment.  It does not however mean that you will develop one.  If you want a second opinion, I would recommend seeing a retina specialist.  Good luck.
