flashing spots in vision.

while i was out side doing some physical activities, i noticed some spots in my eyes. it all happened at once, and there were so many of them, mainly in the top part of my vision where it was brightest because of the sun. they were little flashing yellowish/white spots and they were happening rapidly. i immediately stopped what i was doing for fear of something worse happening. any idea what this might have been and should i seek medical help soon about it?

If they continue and see like floaters (Google it), you need to see an ophthalmologist.

thanks for your reply. everything seems fine. in fact, everything went back to normal about 30 seconds after it happened. i do have a "floater" like thing(dark spot in eye that kinda looks like a scratch from my pov), but it has been there for over 10 years. is it something i should worry about?
