floaters after cataract/lens repl
I am 8 mo post-op from cataract/lens replacement.  I'm a currently wearing monovision contacts that work realtively well to correct my close vision and some astigmatism.  I'm having a lot of problem with some large floaters in my right eye.  Is this common and do my monovision contacts make this worse.  I haven't had any sudden flashes of light but occasionally seem to see 2-3 "bubble type "objects  float up along edges of my vision (both eyes).  Again  none of this has happened suddenly. it is just wearing on my nerves at this point.  Should I be worried or has anyone else had this type of problems?

Monovision can make a floater more visible but will not cause them. See an Eye MD ophthalmologist for a dilated retina exam. Find one at www.aao.org
