floaters due to Lyme?

by jason80, Oct 04, 2008 07:55PM
It's often mentioned that uncharacteristic bad floaters are a symptom of Lyme disease.  Can anyone comment why Lyme does this (when so many other bacterial infections do not?)  I'm trying to know how good is this symptom as a predictor of Lyme vs. other illnesses.
Thanks, Jason

I challenge you to find in the world's literature a case of Lyme's where it started with floaters. Please post a complete citation if you find one.

Dr. Hagan,
I'm only aware of that listed as a symptom, but I've never seen any claim in the literature or web that Lyme begins with floaters.

I am challenging why Lyme would produce floaters.
Thanks.
