floaters

floaters

its been 10 months since my 1st pvd and 3 months since pvd in other eye
!) i am really struggleing with floaters how long will it take my brain ti adjust
2) i have dry eye as well and seem very sensitive in daylight is that usual
3)when i go to bed and eyes are shut i see tiny pin like lights they only lasr a second if that is that mormal
4) when i wake if i go into lited room sight
seems to quiver
5)there is an hospital in england macelsfield area who is doing laser on floaters is this any use

5. I have no idea but using laser for floaters has not been effective and carries risk and expense and isn't cost effective.

The last time I saw my ophthalmologist I asked him if he can laser my floaters. He said laser cannot be used to zap floaters. The only way to get rid of floaters is by vitrectomy but the procedure is invasive (he showed with hand gesture how he will scoop it up, probably trying to scare me) and not worth the risks, that include retinal detachment.

thank you for your reply i too have asked my oph
thalmologist and he as said much the same as yours i find it very difficult to see how my brain will adjust to these floaters . lets hope that someone finds a cure because they make your life a m,isery
