ghosting vision

For the past month I Have noticed what is called ghosting vision.  I dont see two of everything.  The vision thing is only when i look at a lcd screen on the alarm clock, lights have this long glow, letters on a dark background have the ghosting effect.  I tried a pin hole test and when I did it I seen clearly through the hole.  What doesit meen that I seen clearly through the hole and could the ghosting be life threatning.  I have no other symptoms and am a healthy 28 year old female.  I also have a lazy eye in my left eye since I was little and I was told 6 years ago I have a little bit of astigmatism.

Relax ghosting usually just means you need glasses. If things clear up when you look through a pinhole that usually confirms it. Get in to see an Eye MD ophthaljmoloigst. Find one at www.aao.org

When I have tried to explain this to people, they just look at me like I'm crazy.  I don't even look at our alarm clock in a dark room, the numbers are ghosted to the right and above the actual number.  What is the pinhole test?  Did you get any help for this.  I already wear glasses and they don't help to correct the ghosting, they actually made it worse.

Had ghosting, halos, starbursts at night - optometrist said no problems with eyes - saw opthalmologist and I have two cataracts.  Elongated type (?) in the middle of my eye.  Doesn't affect daytime vision, just nighttime.  Easy fix.  Glad I saw the opthalmologist.
