glaucoma caused by prednisone

If you get glaucoma, possibly from taking predinisone for a long period of time, would it be possible that it would go away after going off the predinisone?

How long were you on the prednisone ?  Were they in eye drop form ?  What is your IOP number?

Thanks for your answers to my question.  My daughter was on predinsone (pills) for  pneumonia for 10 months and before that she had PKR surgery (not sure that's the right initials). There was a lot back and forth on prednisone drops.  When she saw her optomitrist for a contact lens, even though the pressure didn't show that she had glaucoma, the doctor suspected it and sent her to a glaucoma specialist.  He confirmed that she did indeed have glaucoma.  I don't know what the IOP number is.  We are very hopefull that now that she's off prednisone, her pressure will go back to normal.  And that's another question - if you are on eye drops to keep the pressure down, how will you know that you don't have glaucoma anymore?
