gritty eye after different movement

I had my cataract operation 5 days ago and sometimes my eye feels very gritty - for example if I look down to read, which I have stopped and if I put something up onto a shelf in my kitchen. etc, sometimes under top lid.  Then it goes away but comes back again.  I wear a shield at night and take paracetamol when needed plus prescribed drops 4 times a day.   Should this gritty feeling be gone by now or is this to be expected for a little while longer - I am awaiting a follow up with the surgeon locally in a week or so - but the hospital that did the operation is some way away.  My surgeon seemed happy about the state of my eye after he operated.

I am not doing housework but have been doing a little cooking though not bending forward.
