had retinal detachment surgery in July 2009 now getting dull aching pains

In July 7th 2009 I  had rentinal detachment surgery at Moorfiled in London( i had the Scleral buckling surgery one)  following all clear from the doctor i could fly to Orlando in August 2009( for two weeks)  in stepmber 2009 i had a check up from the doctor and he says its all looking good and everything it where it should be,

In November 2009 i flew to New York  for my birthday,( for four days) all fine no aching pains or nothing

but rencently (january 2010) i have been stuffering from mild aching pains in the eye ( its in the corner) it comes and goes

I donot know what to do? what could it been

Headaches are not a symptom of retinal detachment.  Most likely the scleral buckle changed the refraction in that eye and a change in glasses is needed.
