high light contrast, double focus

high light contrast, double focus

Hopefully I can get some answers on here.
I have seen two renowned opthamologists. Yet they always fail to adress me second problem. Three visits= 30 dollar copay and my mom needs to buy groceries.

First issue. Light appears dark. The best way to put it is high contrast. I assume that it was because I stared at the tv in the dark till the sun came up everyday for months. The symptom comes and goes throughout the day. But intensifies when the sun goes down and the lights come on.

Second issue. When I focus on an object everything behind it is double, and vice versa. I tried the pencil pushup but I wouldn't see double pencil at all. I saw one pencil til it touched my nose. Another symptom is that if I need to look at something close, after looking at a distance, the object is blurry and takes a second to adjust. I think that the cause of this issue was that I wore my new glasses for a while and then put in my new contacts.

I'm sixteen and my healthy quality has gone down the drain. If I could resolve just one of the said issues, I would be estatic.

I will add details as they come to me but any imput would be greatly appreciated.

p.s. this was the second time writing this beauce the page randomly refreshed -_-

You need to be clearer on your first description.  "light appears dark" makes no sense.  Your other two concerns are normal and don't represent a problem.  I think you may be too worried about things.  Based on the second two concerns and the fact that two ophthalmologist found things to be normal I think you probably overanalyzing everything you see, sense, etc.

I realize I wasn't too clear about certain things but this was the second time I composed this. Plus it's midnight.

let me start out by saying how much i appreciate your time :)

there must be something wrong. my eyes have been killing me.

Is it normal to see double behind the focus object?
Should the vision in one eye be the same as when they're both open?

Would you provide me some tests that i can perform at home?

As for the light problem. It circulates around light sources.

Ex. when it is 75 percent light, my eyes are fine. but when there's 50 % light in the room, it feels like the darkness and light are fighting each other.
Its an singing sensation. Sorta like a blacklight, as i can recall.

Another tidbit. When i went to the ophthalmologist, and went home, the light problems extremely suppressed. I'm guessing because of all the scanning an imaging machines that bright i.e. the retina thing and the focusing on a balloon or tree machine.

I will try and answer your questions the best I can.

Is it normal to see double behind the focus object?  YES

Should the vision in one eye be the same as when they're both open? No, but close.  You get the additional benefit of debt with both eyes open as opposed to a 2 dimensional view with one eye.

Would you provide me some tests that i can perform at home? Test should be regular activities.  If you could read fine with good lighting, function in school, drive, etc you shouldn't worry about it.  If there is a serious problems that the two ophthalmologists have missed, it would eventually manifest itself under normal circumstances and not only when the lights are dimmed etc.  Try and ignore it if you can and go about your normal activities for a while.

Hey doctor vosoghi. I have just had a new issue. I got exfoliating soap in my eyes. And it messed  up my right eye pretty bad. Now it's always blurry,

As for the light issue, it's still as bad. But there are few occasions when it's not. But they rarely last. 10 seconds at most. It's got to be some kind of light adaption problem. I have realized how much of a toll these three problems put on me because i can't even muster up the strength to keep my eyes open by 8 o clock.

GOOD NEWS!
the double vision magically disappeared overnight. I can still feel a little bit of it. If it were 100% before, its now 10%. So all i have left is the light problem which is my main concern.

Could you give me some basic eye facts about light and dark adaptation so i can test and see what factors cause and and suppress the light "darkness"

Well. I guess i can drop the double for now, as its not bothering me as much as the light problem.

THE LIGHT PROBLEM.

One thing is for sure, watching tv/using the computer with a light on. Is deadly.
For some reason, during the day my eyes are fine.

Can you think of anything that could happen as a result of watching tv at night?

I need you to work with me dr. please.
