hiking in high altitude post surgery

I'll be having cateract surgery March 5th, 2007 and am planning a trip to hike to Macchu Pichu in the middle of May. I'll be in altitudes from about 7000ft to almost 14000 feet. Could this affect the surgery?

Your eye should be plenty healed by then. The dry air may be a problem so take artifical tears.
