horner's syndrome & lymphoma - repost from wrong forum

i have just joined the site and realized that i may have posted this to the wrong forum.  i am reposting this here now.
sorry for the duplication.

                                               **************************************************************

i saw an opthamologist today and was dx'd with horner's syndrome.  he has ordered a blood test for creatinine and a c.t. scan with a followup appt. to do a "field test".

two weeks ago, my rheumatologist noted swelling in the lymph glands in my neck.

to give a little background:

i am dx'd with rheumatoid arthritis and fibromyalgia.  i have been seeing a neurologist periodically for a few years.  they did tests to rule out m.s. and probably others.  what we are left with is a suspicion of als.  however that can take years to dx.

i am in a power wheelchair because of the pain and weakness in my legs.  so far it can only be proven to be caused by the fibro and r.a.  my rheumatologist describes me as being about the worst case of r.a. and fibro he has seen yet.  i have been through many drugs for treatment.  we have tried me on enbril, humira, arava, (others i may have forgotten), plaquenil, nsaids, and through all the drugs i continue to take methotrexate and prednisone. i could not take the biologics due to the severe lung infections every time i tried a new one.  i am presently waiting for the province of ontario to release the funding to cover rituximab for r.a.

at this point the methotrexate is not doing much anymore either and the only way i can function on the limited basis i do day to day is on 30 mg. prednisone daily.  i use fentanyl and percocet for breakthru pain to try to manage the pain and still i live with a high level of pain daily.  even on the high dose of prednisone i still experience joint inflammation constantly.

following the original mri studies i was dx'd with spinal stenosis with no real treatment plan other than pain management.  over the past year i have been experiencing severe pain just below my waist and down the front of my legs.  i cannot stand for more than five minutes now without extreme pain in my low back and legs.  i have five herniated discs.  i do not recall exactly where.  if memory serves me, there are two cervical herniations and three thoracic herniations.

i dont expect any definitive answers due to the wide variables, but my main question right now is this:

could the development of horner's syndrome be related to a possible lymph problem and instead of the wait and watch approach to the lymph swelling noted by the rheumatologist, should i speak to him about this and perhaps step up his investigation into the possibility of a lymph issue now.  or is the horner's syndrome more likely related to my back issues.  i have had to deal with so many maybes and unanswered issues over the years, i dont want to become alarmed by any of this.  i just want advice on what direction i should be focused on.  i trust my doctors but i also believe in being well informed and educated about my own body.

thank you for taking the time to read this
