Thank you for the information but before you go to the trouble to load your pictures---we make no attempt to practice medicine over the internet. Bottom line is that many of the conditions we educate or discuss require a Eye MD physician ophthalmologist to examine the person.

If the person has seen an Eye MD and not been helped or is not comfortable with what they've been told then we encourage second opinions or/and trips to referral centers like medical schools or physicians that specialize in extremely difficult problems.

That's where you are. If the MDs in your town can't help you you may need to go to a larger town to see a different ophthalmologist.

thanks a lot for replying.i feel that sharing all my concerns regarding my eyes will be of some use and relief to me, so please kindly listen to it.

i had chemical irritation like little bit of toothpaste foam falling in my eye, some spray irritation(FEW WEEKS BEFORE). i had some burning sensation after it , i lashed my eyelids while washing my eyes with water after that. i think that could have caused the eyelid swelling. my right eye which was affected is totally dry, it produces no tears. even when i am crying my left eye produces tears, but not the right. now there is NO redness, pain, itch or scales in my eyelashes of the sort, but  my eyes have sunken and eyelids drooped a little.

yes as u said fatigue, ya, i recently ran cross country races (long distance)for  1 week in hot summer before a month(LATE JAN '10).it was a lot of strain and turmoil as you know.but i didn't dehydrate my body,i drank good amount of water, though only some time after fininshed running. some dust could have entered my eyes while running.
then, my both eyes have sunken a lot. i wore  contact lens for 4 days, after the race.i abandoned using contact lenses on december '09, and didn't clean it regularly during the INTERIM  days, but stored it in a lens solution. then i started using those lenses for 4 days of  EARLY FEB.i think this had exaggerated the problem of sunken eyes, and stopped them totally, and now i am wearing glasses.

in June 2009, i suffered from wearing soft contacts lenses overnight for 2 days(which should not be done), and that caused mild ptosis in my eyes(causing left eye to shrink and right eye to bulge in response).but doctor said no problem in my cornea and just gave me lubricant eye drops.

But now, both my eyes have shrunken a lot.
though i tried applying almond  oil, moisturizing creams, some lubricant eye drops, but in vain. this is for sure. my right eye has sunken a lot, i could notice it clearly. the one thing very painful to me is that i had very normal, good  eyes before that. these changes are alien to me.i am only 16 years old.

i have visited eye doctors in my town many a times during these course of incidents, even recently, but all gave some allergy drops ,lubricant drops, it cured the allergy and redness to some extent, they said that there is no problem in my cornea at all.i have high power -3.5. but my eyes have sunken, this worries me most.

u know i feel that the eye drops which eye doctors use for clearing the eyes before examining eyes sometimes(usually used in hospitals commonly to all patients),very relieving and it seems to have enhanced my eye looks prominently by making it look bigger. but now i don't get those eye drops now, but i feel i need it at this stage.can u tell me the name of that eye drops?

but my EYES ESPECIALLY RIGHT EYE NOW HAS SUNKEN,THAT'S ALL MY PROBLEM IS . WILL NORMAL EYES BE RESTORED OVER TIME? WILL THE SUNKEN EYES BE CURED NOW?PLEASE REPLY.please read through, i have told u everything in detail. i will try to upload my photo 2-3 years back in a while, but i notice a change for sure, as i have seen my eyes in mirror a no.of times.it would be gracious if u understand my problem and suggest some invaluable advice.i really appreciate it. please..

The most common reason by for for eyelids to droop is fatigue or a need for sleep.

If you think you have a problem see an Eye MD ophthalmologist. Take in some photos of your face showing eyelid position taken 3-5 years ago.
