i think im going blind! help!

help. about 2 days ago i noticed that i had a dark spot in the shape of a perfect circle in the middle of my left eye. it reminded me of the blur left after a bright camera flash or someone brightlighting you with their headlights. it has not gone away since and me being me i tried to find some information online about it. i was led to a sight that did amsler's test and my right eye was perfectly fine but my left blurred and the image looked like it was almost 3d in nature. I unfortunatley am in the situation of not having health insurance and living in the asheville nc area there isnt alot in the way of "free" healthcare much less anything to begin with. any help figuring this eye problem out would be GREATLY appreciated. for medical history i am a 22 year old male non diabetic (as far as i know) who had perfect vision my whole life.

Dear theardnetone,

I would definitely recommend that you seek the care of an eyeMD immediately.  It sounds as if you have a retinal problem.  Often, in universities, there may be clinics for people without health insurance or you can work out a payment plan with a practitioner.

I am not trying to alarm you. I want you to take care of yourself and see if there is a problem. Sounds like you need attention.
