impaired vision due to diabetes

hi, my father has diabetes for over 15 years, since last three years his field of vision is reducing at an alarming rate. doctors say that it could be because of low circulation of blood in his veins leading from the brain. please advise

1. You father should be under the care of an Eye MD ideally a Retina specialist. He needs checked twice/year. Find one at www.aao.org
2. Meticulous control of diabetes (A1C less than 6.5) also control diet, exercise, body weight, don't smoke control BP and Cholesterol

Hi,

we have been to a retina specialist, his eyes are fine, problem lies with the circulation of blood in the veins of his eyes which is reducing[which is reducing his field of vision, its turning his eyesight like binocular vision- we have had him checked for glucoma also ], sorry to say but doctors here at Shankar Nethralya[Chennai, India] dont have the name for such a condition, i have all the reports even M.R.I reports of his brain and field of vision tests done over time, how can i upload it for you to see

thanks
abhi
