Dear Dr. O,
My vision went from 20/20 to 20/300 in one night. It stayed like that for 4 days while I visited doctors and attempted to rest my eyes. On the 5th day one eye started to come back and then the other. I'm on day 7 and the left eye is nearly back and the right eye is significantly approved. They are both still weak and highly light-sensitive. My 1st opthalmologists said it was muscular and it would relax. He was right on the $. The retinal specialist I saw lacked all compassion and treated me like a was a liar or crazy because he couldn't figure it out and because I said I believed it was from a work accident. This was one of the scariest things I've ever been through. I'm a 34-year old female with a long history of medical problems (all which could be easily seen on blood work and x-rays). For the first time I have something that cannot be seen or proven. I would like to know definitively what I have. Can this be done? And most importantly, what are the chances it will happen again?
A neuro ophthalmologist is the best option
Please see a strabologist .(a doctor who deals with Patients of squint)
She may have a exophoria along with accommodative spasm
Never let her wear minus glasses
I am not sure what you mean. Is it accommodative spasm? You need to discuss the particulars with you doctor. You have posted too little information such as the refractive error and age.
Dr. O.
