iridotomy after/side effects?

For the Doctor:I had one iridotomy done to each eye, months apart, to 'prevent' drains collapsing", per my (then) eye MD... I agreed against my own better judgement, after waiting quite a long time..
since then, I've had occasional nasty eyeball aching....and recently rather intense aching, especially the left eye...Now I have developed a 'floater brown spot" in the same eye, and occasional webbing, with smaller brown spots, not always visible.
is this debris from the iridotomy? I have a nasty cataract in the left eye also, needing to be done soon, but am soooo afraid of losing what vision I have left, which is blurry anyway, from 'constant blepharitis", oily dripping into my vision......
Antibiotic eye ointment for eyelid problem caused  very nasty allergic eyelid result, with extreme redness of lids, and one broken blood vessel in the same eye....now what! I am SO ANGRY that I allowed the dr to laser both eyes...I have told him how upset I have been, during a revisit, he said they were "needed" procedures.
Should I not blame him?
I will have a different Dr perform the cataract surgery in due time...thank you.....

thank you..now, due to brown floater and occasional webbing in left eye, I worry about retinal detachment starting....rather than debris from iridotomy, which I'm so sorry I had done..
will see 2nd Dr in few weeks for his opinion..should have had 2nd opinion before allowing both iridotomies..
I appreciate your responses.

Most people have eyes that are shaped the same in both eyes. (there are rare exceptions). Thus if you need LPI in one eye need it in other. Also almost all people that need LIP are hyperopic (farsighted) so that if you are farsighted it makes it more likely you needed LIP. IF you are myopic or nearsighted they rarely ever need LPI.

Thank you..I do have an upcoming appointment with another eye MD. He has not offered an opinion as to if I actually 'needed" to have both eye iridotomies done...the right eye has no sx..
I appreciate your response...

No the floaters should not be debris from the laser iridotomy.  Without looking at your eye there is no way to tell if you needed the laser peripheral iridotomy (LRI) but if your angles were occludable they without doubt you needed it to prevent acute angle closure glaucoma which can blind an eye in just a few hours.

Would suggest you get second opinion about your eye situation from a respected Eye MD ophthalmologist.
