iritis -swelling

i was recently diagnosed with iritis after being incorrectly told i had conjunctivitis. i have been using a new set of eye drops that are working very well - the pain, redness and light sensitivity are almost gone.
however, one of my eyes is now "smaller" than the other, that it the lid is more heavy. the area around my eye doe not feel swollen but i am wondering if this was caused by the iritis and if my eye's shape/size will return to normal. not to sound vain or superficial, i am quite self conscious about this, but i do not want a droopy eye.

FIrst iritis is often hard to diagnosis in the early stages and resembles conjunctivitis. Use the search feature and read about iritis also google "iritis emedicine" and read in entirety.

The steroid drops used to treat iritis can make a lid droop and the lid can also droop to protect the eye from bright lights (called guarding ptosis).

Both of these usually improve with time (6 weeks after stopping all drops).

If it should persist for longer than 2 months after drops have your Eye MD to do an "acquired ptosis work up"
