Your floaters are much more likely due to the myopia you had the lasik for than the lasike itself. Regardless of the cause there is no cure. Most people learn to ignore them (neuroadaptation) as I am doing sitting here typing. Yes floaters generally increase as people get older.

Yes floaters can settle to the bottom of the eye where they are not visible.

There is a experimental medicine that is injected into the eye and it turns the vitreous from a gel into a a watery like fluid. It is being used to help some patients with diabetic eye disease.

It is unlikely it will be used for regular floaters since it would bankrupt any insurance company or government run health system due to expense and number of people that have floaters. Plus the risks include infection, bleeding, retinal detachment and loss of the eye.

Hi Anoopms,
I had cataract surgery 6 months ago on both eyes within 2 days of each other and developed floaters in both of them after 4 weeks of the operation. My right eye seemed to be more affected than the left. It was very disturbing. I don't know if this is because I have always been more myopic in the right eye; or could it be that because my right eye is the dominant one I see these floaters more than the other eye. But the good news is that I do not notice any floaters in my left eye any more and those in the right eye have become much smaller and lighter and hardly bothersome. My eyes have been checked out and the retina is fine.

Yes some are like  transparent threads and others are like jelly-fish ( quite big) and amoeboid shapes. Got hundreds of black dots but they only become visible against white backgroud. I am not worried about these dots. Since I first developed floaters 5 months ago they have diminshed in size and numbers and shade ( become more transparent)
