hi, im a 24 year old woman and iv had to wear glasses since i was about 10 years old.  i started wearing Contact lenses a long time ago and never had any problems  - my eyesight would decrease over the years but nothing to worry about.  about 3 years ago i had chlamydia in my right eye (it never transferred to the left) and even though it took the specialists about 3 months to work out what i had, it was finally treated and went away.  ever since then iv had non stop eye problems in both eyes such as dry eye (which they think could be caused by the fact i went on the pill) and also more importantly my eyesight is decreasing quite fast.  my prescription now is -8.00 and its getting worse practically every time I have an eye test.  what could be causing this? i do work at a computer all day but im generally healthy and have a very healthy diet. please help!

Neither Chlamydia nor dry eyes nor computer use should cause increase of myopia. The forces that increase myopia are not completely understood.
