just wondering

Hi I had the buckle and bubble surgery three weeks ago today. Now I saw the bubble as soon as I could open my eye. Looking out through the eye now its like looking through plastic wrap. Will it clear up ? How long does the bubble last it is the one that is to break up into small ones.

Different gasses last different amounts of time.  When the bubble starts to dissolve eventually, that may help you to see some better but it still takes many months to fully recovery from this type of surgery.  You will need new glassess since the buckle will cause your refraction to change.  You may also require cataract surgery in the next year or so ahead, since the retinal surgery can sometimes stimulate the growth of a cataract.  I don't do retinal surgery - but estimate that it may take another month or so  for bubble to resolve.
