keratoconus

Hello well i think i might have astigmatism.

Im just wondering if it is possible that i got this because of my moms keratoconus or if it caused by another problem.

im aware that the cause of this is a football bent cornea.

I wear glasses one eye is -.75 and another is -.74.

Also i am 14 and i read on the internet that astigmatism happens to 28% of teens.

So im wondering if i should get a check up.

Astigmastism is generally not a disease (in small amounts and so called regular astigmatism).

Keratoconus is large amount of irregular astigmatism. It tends to run in families. You need an ophthalmologist to check you eye and ideally a corneal topography should be done.
