Dear end44,

Laser vision correction for good candidates has excellent results.  As with any surgery, there can be side effects, so it is important for you to feel comfortable with the doctor and the procedure and have the opportunity to ask your eyeMD questions.

I understand you are interested in getting laser vision but honestly you need to be having this discussion with your surgeon and his office.  Every case is different and different surgeons have different succes rates. Generally, though, LASIK surgery for myopia is very safe and the risk of blindness is exceedingly low.  Please just don't take my word for as you need to look into this surgery on your own by talking with your surgeon and getting literature and also utilizing websites sponsored by the laser company you are using for your correction.
