laser for cataracts/astigmatism?

Will using a laser for cataracts and astigmatism result in being glasses free?
Has the use of laser improved results of both?

This is not the sort of decision you make on the internet. If you are uncertain what you want get a second opinion.  What you have heard overstates the value of the femtosecond laser over traditional small incision surgery.

Thank you, Yes I had heard that with the laser the asitigmatism and also
cataract operation would be done more accurately, so that glasses may be
necessary only for very close up work.   I would rather not have the problems associated with multifocal.  Do you reccommend this as well?

1. Not completely free
2. If you mean the $500,000 femtosecond laser its not been demonstrated that it is safer and certainly will not lower costs.
