laser treatment

I had cateract surgery about two years ago.  My left eye is ok but my right eye has lost some vision.  My eye doctor told me today that I could have my right eye lasered.  Do you know what this procedure involves?  Thank you.

Thank you for answring my question.  I have one more.  Is it the same procedure as my cateract surgery or is it less involved.  Do I have to prepare for this treatment?  I have an appointment to see the MD eye surgeon in December.  I saw the OD who is also in the MD's office yesterday.  Thank you.

I believe your doctor is referring to a posterior capsular haze.  A YAG laser is used to make an opening in the capsule which has become hazy.  This is very common and easy to treat.
Complications are uncommon.
