lazy eye question, again

lazy eye question, again

I wrote to you not long ago describing my eye problem.  I had a lazy eye when I was younger and it was corrected when I was about 12.  I never had surgery.  It corrected itself.  I know this sounds strange and I have been reading up on other cases there are really none like mine.  My problem is that it has been recently crossing again.  Before it would only occur when I was extremely tired, not it is happening more often.  I had gone to a few doctors and they never helped me because my eye didn't cross at that particular time of day.  They couldn't see the problem.  I am considering going for one of those walk in eye exams to see if they will help.  my question is would they be able to help me even if my eye is not crossing at that time?  Are there contacts that they can give me to straighten out the eye?  Surgery is not an option right now since I don't have insurance for it.  I am getting desperate because this is interfering with my life.  Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

It is not unusual for eyes which were lazy to sometimes start crossing again.  Even if it is not present at the time of the examination, it can still be checked.  You need to see a pedicatric ophthalmologist.  A walk in eye exam will not help this problem.
