lens replacement

I am 56 and have been wearing reading classes for the past ten years. I have reached the point where certain activities are becoming more and more difficult as I cannot see to walk around etc with my glasses on. I have heard about lens replacement surgery but would like some advice about what this entails and so forth. My left eye is significantly worse than my right eye. How do I find a surgeon for example?

First you need to know why your vision is down. It might not be cataracts, it could be glaucoma or macular degeneration which are much more difficult to treat.

If you are 56 you should be under the care of an Eye MD and seeing one each year or two.
