light sensitivity

my question is :does wearing sunglasses even when its dark or in poor lighting conditions, cause the eyes to become more likely to become light sensitive or any other forseeable problems ,i work for a large construction company who have employees who wear the safety (sunglass tinted ) glasses even though in the winter months it is dark in the mornings and early evening ,and at best a lower light quality during the day ,these glasses where issused for the summer to help protect there eyes ,i have concerns that they may look cool but will be doing them more harm than good

In many instances OSHA regulations prevent sunglasses from being worn indoors around hazardous equipment. Look in to it. Very very few people need sunglasses indoors. As in Hollywood its mostly an affectation.
