loss of central vision in one eye

I noticed loss of vision in my right eye only about 3to 4 mos after I had seen my optometrist.  So I saw an opthamologist who told me I had eye fluid build up in the back of my eye and called it serus something??? caused my too much stress and seen in men who have a lot of stress.  Then, he sent me to the retina specialist just to make sure there was no bleeding happening.  Well, by the time I got to see the retina specialist,  3 weeks later, he said it was too late, the blood had formed a scar and the scar has now caused permanent eye loss in my central vision.  I have seen quite a few opthamologist and they say it is rare what happened to me.  I am only 46 years old.  I'm wondering if I saw the retina specialist sooner, that he could have saved my eye sight by giving me a shot in the eye.  What do you think?  The second opinion retina specialist said the scar was about 2-4 weeks old.

Your problem sounds like central serous retinopathy (CSR).  Sometimes its complicated by scar formation. There is no universal treatment. There is no way to tell if you were seen earlier if it would have helped. Use the search feature and archives to read about.

There is more we don't know about CSR than that which we know.
