macular distortion

I have had  a macular hole repair  and  now I have an inky looking area in my central vision.  THe dr called it macular distortion.  Has any one every had this  happen ?

distortion of the macula is common after surgery to fix macular problems.
Your query has been discussed at length in the forums. Just do a search for mucular holes and you should be able to read up on others' experiences.

Yes, that area of the macula is where your best vision occurs and so even a very subtle
wrinkle can be very noticeable. This is rather common after a macular hole repair. Be thankful, though, because macular hole surgery is relatively recent and many folks used to just go legally blind and that was that.
