migraine and flashes
In July 2006 I had cataract surgery in both eyes.

Just recently (July 2008) in the past two weeks light flashes began to appear in both eyes.

Just a week ago I had a terrific pain in my head and down to the bottom of my
neck.  It lasted three days.  Blood vessels on the top of my head were dilated.  I was told
this was a migraine and I was thinking it was a crick in my neck.

Could this "migraine" be a result of the cataract surgery along with the light flashes after this
period of time - two years?

My opthalmologist does not think it is related and suggested seeing my primary care doctor
if this persists.

Thanks for any help.

Cataract surgery would never cause migraine to develop.
